Emma & Harry-After Session in Ireland

Photographers in Ireland have it so easy. Literally everywhere you look is postcard-worthy beautiful. We had planned on the Cliffs of Moher for the after session but decided it might be too far of a drive away. Instead we stopped along the road on the way to Emma’s hometown. We climbed some fences (which reminded me of home) and found some beautiful farm land. I’m a sucker for farm land. We ended up at the Abbey in Askeaton where we almost didn’t make it out alive. We encountered a very angry and territorial horse who tried to bite Emma then went crazy running in circles until he fell in the mud and we escaped.

A HUGE thank you to Emma’s parents, Ailish and Brian. They took us in and treated us like family. Thanks also for showing us your beautiful country! I hope to be back someday soon!

Ahhh, love these toooo! Wonderful!

Emma & Harry-Kenmare, Ireland

Emma and Harry are pretty much the nicest couple you could ever met. No wonder they had so many friends and family members fly almost 5,000 miles to attend their wedding in Kenmare, Ireland. The ceremony was held at the beautiful and and historic, Gougane Barra. What a stunning site! It poured rain all day (we were in Ireland, after all) so we had to break out the umbrellas for pictures. Needless to say, Irish weddings are FUN. The band started at midnight and played until 2:00 a.m. At 2:00 a.m. the DJ arrived and played until 5:00 a.m. Now that is a wedding! Fascinators are a trend I really wish the US would adopt.

Oh My goodness!!! Those far off shots of the bridal party with the church in the background are gorgeous!! I LOVE Ireland, what a wonderful wedding!

Jessica & Mike- Day After

The rain continued after the ceremony and threatened to ruin our after session. Luckily, we had a brief period with no rain. Jessica had said from the beginning that she wanted to get in the ocean in her wedding dress. She was the first bride that I’ve had that was willing to actually “trash the dress”. It was fun!

Jessica & Mike-Excellence Riviera Cancun, Mexico

Jess and Mike got married at the beautiful Excellence Riviera Cancun in Puerto Morelos, Mexico. They had 80 of their friends and family to share in the celebration. I’m always amazed at really big destination weddings like this one! Everyone kicked back and had a blast at the reception. There was definitely tequila shots all around.

We started with the Mexican Fiesta rehearsal dinner.
Jess joined in with the Mariachi band.
Mike’s 92 year old grandmother came to the celebration. It was her first time out of the country! The wedding day. What a pretty ceremony site! Mitch got the next three pictures.I love these silly family pictures. We got the couple pictures right before a HUGE rainstorm. The cocktail party before the storm came in.It was a hurricane like storm that flooded the reception area for a while.

Emie & Jon- Louisville, Kentucky

Whenever I told someone that I was going to Kentucky for Emie and Jon’s wedding the immediate response would be, “Oh, Kentucky! It’s so beautiful there.” Well, they weren’t lying! Mitch and I fell in love with Louisville. It’s kind of like Austin but better. :) Emie did such a great job planning her wedding. There were beautiful details EVERYWHERE! The church was gorgeous too. After the ceremony the bridal party and I loaded up in a old trolley car and did pictures at this house front that was in the middle of a street. It was literally just a house front. The reception was at a place called Gingerwoods in Prospect. The reception was so much fun!

We can’t wait to go back to Kentucky….Kentucky Derby maybe?!?!
