When Anna asked me if I’d be interested in going to New York City for her bridals I couldn’t say YES fast enough. We hit all the main attractions and rode around the city in a limo which was so fun. We were quite the attraction of our own everywhere we went. People were constantly taking pictures of Anna and asking if she’d pose in pictures with them.
Bridals are a Southern thing. No one in Manhattan could understand what in the world we were doing. People on the streets would shout, “where’s the groom?”. A lot of people came up to us directly and asked what we were doing. We tried to clarify what bridal portraits were. After explaining the concept of bridal portraits they’d look at us confused and say, “oh, a model.”. By the end of the day we were just saying, “yes, she’s a model” to everyone so we didn’t have to do anymore explaining.
