What a pretty girl! I was very excited to shoot Jessica’s bridal session. She mentioned that she loved props (and so do I) so we used lots of them. We started out in Salado and then to Jessica’s grandmother’s farm in Oscar. I love the road to her grandmother’s house. It was covered in a canopy of trees. The first 3 pictures of my favorites from the day.

Isn’t Cassie stunning? She is no prima donna though. There was a field of wildflowers through a barbwire fence. I was going on and on about how I wanted to go over there because it was so pretty. Cassie eagerly said, “I’ll crawl through the barbwire. I don’t care.” What?! In her silk wedding dress?! I was excited but also a bit panicked. Her wedding was only 2 weeks away. What if something happened to her dress? I would feel so bad. Her mom and sister held down the barbwire while she crawled through it like a champ!

We also had an encounter with some horses. One of the horses came up to us and walked off with our stuff! He stepped on Cassie’s curling iron and then took my camera bag in his mouth and walked off. We were all screaming! He also took my white jacket in his mouth. He’d been eating red wildflowers so his mouth was all red. When he finally spit out my jacket it had red smears all over it. He got really close to Cassie and her dress! We were worried the red from his mouth would smear on her dress. When ended up having to shoo him off with the parasols!
