Sara & Matt

I was so excited to photograph Sara & Matt’s wedding at Hamilton Twelve. The only problem was the rain. It rained all day. It never stopped. They had to move the ceremony indoors and I think I was more disappointed than Sara. She didn’t let it bother her at all. We had to find a creative solution to get out into the rain for photos so we used umbrellas! I think they turned out really cute. I loved everything about Sara & Matt’s wedding. It was so unique and fun! I’m completely in love her boutiques and flower arrangements. I’ve never seen anything like them! The reception was a lot of fun and very high energy. The night ended with one of the groomsmen being thrown in the pool. Oops.

The First Sight! We had an audience of flower girls.

Thank you Cathi! A lot of people have asked about the flowers. They are amazing. My favorite ever. The flowers were done by the groom’s mom. She lives in New Orleans and isn’t a florist. The bride just requested that she do the flowers and that’s what she did. I told her that she missed her calling. :)

Your photos are truly amazing. So are the flowers. I, too would like to see her/his website. Can you post it?

Thanks

PHotos are wonderful. It all looks so fun. Who did the flowers… I’d love to see more of what they do. Thanks.

These look great! Awesome work Christina!

Sarah & Rich

Sarah & Rich got married at St. Ignatius church and had their reception at The French Legation Museum. They had a break between their ceremony and reception so they rented a trolley for the bridal party. We went around South Congress and did photos of the bridal party at some of their favorite Austin locations. This was such a great idea! I would suggest that everyone do this!

Sarah & Rich had one of the most fun receptions I have ever been to (and I’ve been to A LOT of weddings). It was a blast! Everyone, and I mean everyone, was out on the dance floor the entire time. There was not one person sitting. And the props, oh the props. Booth 66 brought inflatable guitars, hats, glasses and boas that made the dance floor even more entertaining. One of the groomsmen even brought a snuggie. I was crying I was laughing so hard when the Rich was dancing with Sarah in his pink snuggie. Classic.

I really wanted to put down my camera to join them on the dance floor!

Sarah surprised Rich with this Notre Dame cake. It’s amazing! She took pictures of books from the library at Notre Dame and it has actual text from the books in the cake.

Christina Carroll was the photographer for their day. Check her site here for all of the photographs. We went on a trolley tour to their favorite Austin spots.

Katie & Jimmy

Katie & Jimmy got married at Thurman’s Mansion. It was my first time there and it was such a pretty place! Too bad it rained almost the entire time which meant they had to move the ceremony inside. The rain did let up for about 15 minutes so we could at least get some photos outside with the pretty vineyard view. We had a brief encounter with some fire ants but we all made it through just fine.

Katie & Jimmy’s friends and families were all so nice! You could really feel the love in the room. I love how Katie either is laughing or has a huge smile on her face in every picture. It’s like every moment is the time of her life. :)

I love the look on Katie’s dad’s face in this photo. He looks so proud.

her bouquet is gorgeous!

Heather & John Engaged!

Heather & John wanted to go to some classic Austin landmarks for their engagement session. We started at the Capital and then walked over to the Bob Bullock Museum. They brought their cute little dogs with them. The dogs were perfect little models. I got pictures of them looking right at me (which is usually really hard!). Then we went to South Congress and took a few more pictures before the sun went down. I’m looking forward to Heather & John’s wedding in January!
